January 14, 2025, 4,150 HD; Last Week,3,197 hd;2928 a year ago Compared to last week’s sale on Friday, steers under 750 lbs sold another 5.00-10.00 higher while the heavier steers sold steady to 5.00 higher. Heifers sold steady to 5.00 higher except for some 550-675 lb heifers selling up to 10.00 higher. Demand was very good for a heavy supply of attractive cattle. So far this year, cattle seem to be worth more each passing day as this historical market has continued to increase. For the cow-calf producer, it’s been nearly ten years in the making with plenty of struggles along the way to make it to a market as rewarding as this. Slaughter cows & bulls sold steady.
